I have been cooking since I was old enough to reach the stove (even before that with the help of really unsafe chairs). Recently, I have started to try out a completely new way of cooking. I have cast aside all the familiar animal products that have been the staple of my culinary creations for so many years. Vegan cooking has become my latest obsession and it has been a blast. Check out some of these dishes. Even hard core carnivores will love some of this stuff. Recipes soon!

The recipes and names are top secret. You will have to get a copy of Isa and Terry's new book when it is published.

Two recipes were from Vegan with a Vengeance: Apple Pie Crumb Cake Muffins (back right) and Black Bean, Mushroom, and Quinoa-Stuffed Peppers (large platter on the right).

Roasted Pepper Shells with Creamy Kale Sauce

I am horrible about writing things down as I create. I will try and be better about that in the future and post recipes with the pictures.

Vegan Fabada Stew

This is a vegan version of the famous Austurian (Spanish) stew that is traditionally made with sausages and pork. This version is much healthier and very hearty. It is served with Roasted Red Peppers and Sauteed Garlic.

BBQ Tofu

This dish finally dispelled my fear of tofu. Everytime I tried to cook it before it fell apart and turned to crumbles. This version is marinated, baked and smothered in a spicy BBQ sauce. The Lemon Braised Kale with Browned Garlic and Cajun Fries were the perfect compliment.

Southwestern Falafel

Above is a spicy combination of Southwestern Falafel with Chipotle Tahini Sauce, Napalito Cabbage Slaw, and Chipotle-tomato Roasted Garlic.
